Belvidere Rotarty Foundation TMP Project in Morocco

The Belvidere Rotary Foundation is a non-profit organization that is part of the Belvidere Rotary Club in Belvidere, Illinois.

As one of over 35,000.00 International Rotary clubs in over 180 countries, the Belvidere foundation is very active in providing numerous community services and support for many local organizations and civic activities. A few examples are: Meals on wheels, boys and girls clubs, education scholarships and many other services. On the International level, it partners with other clubs in health, education, literacy, drinkable water, economic development and other goodwill activities.

The TMP (Timoulilt Morocco Project) is a great example of its global activities. Through a global grant of $52,000.00 in partnership with the International Rotary Club of Casablanca and the Timoulilt Association for Development in Morocco, this small village is able to offer a much needed preschool program to 150 boys and girls ages 3 to 5 years old.

6 old classrooms were completely or partially renovated with new ceilings, windows and floors.

New tables and chairs were provided as well as laptops for the teachers, printers, LCD panels, a photocopier, and many other educational material.

A playground for the enjoyment of the kids was also added.

The Belvidere Rotary Foundation continues to support this program by sponsoring at least 40 kids with an annual $60 per child in order to help poor families who cannot afford the monthly $5 tuition and encourage them to partake in this vital educational program.

Your help in this humanitarian project will be greatly appreciated by the village children.
